Coaches Bios

Bobbi Moyer, Head Coach and President

Bobbi is entering her first year as Head Coach for the Thunderbirds 14U team. She is no stranger to the Thunderbirds organization as she was one of the original members of the Thunderbirds team when it started in 1994 and played with them until 1999. In addition to playing for the Thunderbirds, Bobbi played for Souderton High School before moving on to play Centerfield at Eastern College in St Davids, PA where she received All-PAC Second team both her Junior and Senior years.

After college Bobbi went on to be an assistant softball coach at Christopher Dock (now Dock Mennonite Academy) for 3 years before starting her family. In 2018 Bobbi jumped back into the softball world coaching U8’s through Souderton Baseball & Softball Association. She was also a part of the SABL Board for 2 years representing softball. Bobbi was an assistant coach for another local travel team from 2024-2025.

Bobbi is incredibly grateful for this opportunity to be back in the Thunderbirds organization as well as back to being a Head Coach. Bobbi believes in hard work, skill development, dedication, teamwork and respect. She is looking forward to this upcoming season!

Chuck Pekar, Assistant Coach

Chuck is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Thunderbirds. He brings over 25 years of coaching experience across multiple sports including middle school football, soccer, baseball and softball. Chuck has been coaching softball alongside Bobbi since 2018 and has served on the Souderton Baseball and Softball Board of Directors as Vice President of Softball since 2021.

Bailee Hendricks, Assistant Coach

Bailee is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the Thunderbirds. Although not new to the organization, she has played for the organizations 18U team from 2017-2020 as middle infielder and outfielder.

Bailee graduated from the University of Scranton in 2024 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and is continuing at Scranton to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. During undergrad, she had a successful softball career as a middle infielder and third basemen at the University. In her time, Bailee acquired Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll 2022-2024, CSC Academic All District Honors, Landmarks All Sportsmanship Tema, and Merit Award for Academic Excellence and Achievement.

Bailee is no stranger to coaching as she has been an assistant coach for 2 different teams since 2017. The past few years she has had the opportunity to coach with her father Christ and hopes to continue that dynamic in the future. Bailee loves the game and hopes to continue to instill that love in athletes who share her passion.

Christopher Hendricks, Assistant Coach

Chris is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Thunderbirds, although his daughter and fellow assistant coach Bailee played for the organization from 2017-2020. He has 20+ years of experience and during that time he also coached in the Perkiomen Valley Twilight Semi Pro Baseball League.

Chris graduated from Norristown High School where he made the Suburban One League All-Start team (Carpenter Cup) as the starting catcher, making him the perfect coach to work with our team’s catchers. Chris then went on to play for the MCCC Mustangs as well as 3 years in the Perkiomen Semi Pro League as a catcher before retiring to start his family.

Chris coached his daughter Bailee and son Logan before starting his coaching career in travel softball and baseball. He looks forward to many years coaching alongside his daughter Bailee as she starts her coaching career.
